Oh goodness we are trying to recuperate from Black Friday. It was insane! LOL. Now we didn't do the normal thing and get out super early because...well...we have kids 5 and under so that wouldn't work. BUT we went out on Thanksgiving night with the kids in their jammies to wait on some deals (which we surprisingly got everything we wanted and was out within 30 minutes) and then came home. We got back out today after breakfast and got a few extras at Menard's we had on the list. I'm pretty pleased. We got pretty much all the kids toy gifts covered and all we have left to get them are clothes. We got a few toys for fun, but other than that we tried to stick with the creative/learning toys. Anyway it was so stressful going with the kids. We were trying to shove all the toys and stuff in the bottom of the cart and if they seen toys we told them we were helping Santa with a few things this year since his elves were so busy and those toys are for other kids. They seemed to go along with it which totally surprised me, but if it isn't broke don't fix it right? I felt a little bad for fibbing to the kids but I didn't want to ruin their surprises. They were completely excited about the idea of being Santa's little helpers and thank goodness it didn't turn out to be an issue. We didn't have anyone to keep them so what could we do? LOL
We had a good Thanksgiving though and got to spend time with family and each other. I love the holidays, family time, excitement, and of course the yummy food! :)
Anyway I will quit babbling and post this weekend's song. A friend of mine posted this to my facebook and I thought it was hilarious so I'm sharing with all you parents out there. haha

It is freezing outside today! I'm glad we don't have anywhere to go and we are staying in the whole day! I have lots of chores to catch up on, and some movies for us to watch that are due back to the library on Monday. I still have this horrible cough, but my voice is slowly coming back and I can feel the cough breaking up.
I'm so excited this is November despite the fact that it's going to be cold. I love this time of year even though I complain about the cold. It's the time for holidays, cozy indoors, and so much is going to be happening over the next couple of months.
Lucas turns 5, it's the time for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we get our fur baby (I can't wait to post pics of him), and it's just going to be an all around great end of the year I hope.
Hubby is going to be working a lot this month though so it's going to be rough without him and the children are going to miss him. He is working every day this week besides Friday (which is Lucas's birthday) so we aren't going to see much of him. He leaves hours before the kids are up in the morning and he doesn't get home until they are going to bed. At least he gets to tell them goodnight though, I am thankful for that. But I'm pretty sure they are coming down with something because they've both had the sniffles, coughs, and have been sort of clingy. Of course the mommy side of me is saying: "They are for sure getting sick" but I have an optimistic side hoping that it's just due to the weather change. But who am I kidding? I already know what's around the corner.

Today I would like to share with you one of my favorite songs from my NEW favorite TV show Nashville.
It comes on ABC at 10/9c on Wednesdays, and every single episode so far has just been captivating. I definitely can't get bored watching this show, and I get to enjoy good country music while I watch it. And the actors are all actually singing which makes it even that much more amazing, to me anyway. If your interested in watching it only 3 episodes have aired so far, so it isn't too late to catch up or just enjoy.

Do you ever just get silly with your kids? This is one of those songs we put on just to get silly with. It's so fun to break loose with them every now and then and just be the crazy silly mommy. We end up on the floor laughing at the end, but it's great times in our house. Especially when daddy joins in then we really end up laughing our buns off. LOL

Okay so I was searching YouTube for this week's song (which I actually already had picked out) and this song caught my eye was randomly in the list. It wasn't what I searched for, but its something that all moms can identify with and it is hilarious! I'm so glad I clicked on it, and after I listened to it I can't get it out of my head. HAHA
