Coppertone Clearly Sheer

I was really impressed with the Coppertone ClearlySheer Sunscreen line. I mostly enjoyed the:

Coppertone ClearlySheer for Beach & Pool with SPF 50. It was by far my favorite out of the whole line. While I did like them all I much prefer a higher SPF, and the spray is so easy to apply. My kids also thought it was a lot of fun when applying. It simply sprays on and with a quick rub absorbs into the skin in seconds. It is water resistant for 80 minutes. It's easy to transport and the bottle I had the cap closed so it wouldn't randomly spray in our beach bag. It has a very light scent to it, and nothing overpowering. It's clinically proven not to cause breakouts which is just perfect for my family as we all have very sensitive skin. It's nice to find a product that won't break the bank but gives you all the perks! I also love that it has moisturizer's in it and that leaves your skin feeling smooth and fresh while still giving you the protection you need.

I also loved the Sunny Days sunscreens:

While my favorite is definitely the Beach and Pool spray I also liked this one. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the SPF only goes as high as 30 and a higher SPF is always a factor for us since we spend a lot of time outside in the sun. Still it has a light clean feel on your skin, won't cause breakouts, and is hypoallergenic which is a huge plus. You can wear this on those barely sunny days, and it is also fast absorbing.

I definitely recommend you at least trying these products out to form your own opinion. I think you will probably end up liking them as much as we did.

Puffs Plus To-Go Packs

I really love this product. It's one of my favorites and so convenient. As it's winter season (and an especially harsh one at that) runny noses, colds, etc., are inevitable. You can't escape it. But most tissues are so rough on your nose and skin. I especially have trouble using certain tissues because I have sensitive skin. But Puffs to go has been the perfect product for me and my whole family! It's even gentle enough for my little ones. They are so soft and durable which is a wonderful thing in a tissue. The to-go packs are so convenient and easy to fit anywhere whether in a purse or pants pocket making them easy to use anywhere. And they have lotion which makes them that much easier on your delicate skin. A must have! I have started carrying a couple packs at a time around with me just in case. You never know when you may need one, or when someone else does! :)

Kroger's Time Saving Meals

Life as we know it can be extemely hectic at times. I'm always having those types of days where there just isn't enough time in the day to get done what I need to without worrying about preparing a meal. As a mom of two I'm always seeming to run here or there, doing this or that, and there's some days where dinner just seems to stress me out. I used to go to fast food places once a week or once every couple weeks (depending on what was on the agenda for said week), and realized how much we were spending on food we knew very little about. Even though we tried our best to keep it healthy you can't always put much stock into fast food places.
I love cooking for my family, sitting around the kitchen table, and talking over a nice home cooked meal. However, sometimes there just seems so little time for that. But as a BzzAgent I've found another way!

So fresh and tasty, priced decent, and a brand I've come to trust explicitly. I highly recommend them, and couldn't wait to share the news with all my fellow moms out there who have those same stressful days where nothing seems to be getting done. This is an easy quick solution to those dinner dilemmas, as I like to call them. No need to sacrifice quality and taste when you don't have to! Our lives are hectic enough! But so worth it! :)

As a busy mom, meal time can sometimes be a challenge. Especially when those hectic crazy days rear their ugly head throwing us all a bit off our axis. On those days I am all too glad to grab a quick bite to eat, but always feel a bit guilty when I realize my kids aren't really getting a very healthy meal.

All you women out there know what a pain bra shopping can be. For me it's such a hassle that I actually do dread it. Mainly because I have to have underwire for support, and most of the underwire bras out there are really uncomfortable. Usually by the end of the day I can't wait to change into something more comfortable and get that wire off.

I received the wonderful opportunity to get the above product, a Juniper Bonsai Tree from ProFlowers.com. I was very impressed with the care and handling of the tree. It was delicately boxed and shipped, and had plenty enough water to keep it hydrated during the trip. It wasn't dried out when I got it, and came with a humidity tray with rocks as pictured above. The bonsai tree is around 3 years old and comes with care instructions, and a beautiful ceramic pot it sits in.

I really love having plants around whether they are inside or outside. It adds an extra touch of peace and serenity to the surroundings. I have always been a fan of bonsai's and was pleasantly surprised at the care of this one once it arrived. Delivery was prompt, and the plant had been well maintained.

The Juniper Bonsai plant is small, but very easy to maintain. It is actually meant for outdoor use, but since there is snow on the ground where I live, I've had to keep it indoors for the time being. Still it is thriving healthy enough with some time in front of a cracked window now and again, and plenty of sunlight. Once the weather warms up it already has the perfect place on my balcony. Bonsai's are perfect for any dwelling, but I find they fit really well in our apartment. I can't wait to get more.

Customized Easter Baskets from Personal Creations ~Review

Easter has always been special in our house. We mainly celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, and give extra thanks as He died on the cross for our sins. And of course there is also the tradition of the Easter Bunny.
Now usually we get the boys little buckets or regular baskets and fill them up with some goodies and a stuffed animal, etc.
However, one thing I've noticed is every year the Easter Baskets in the stores are same old, same old. There isn't anything really unique about them aside from the various faces, designs, colors, etc. The boys do still get excited of course to see that the Easter Bunny left them baskets, but this year we were trying to think of something that could make it extra special for them.
I was so pleased to have the chance to review Easter Baskets from Personal Creations. The opportunity came at the best of times.
They have quite an amazing selection of Easter baskets with everything from simple, quirky, cute, boyish, girly, etc. The spin is that these are customized which makes them about as unique as you can get!

I ended up choosing the below style for the boys. I couldn't pass up that they come with a cute little stuffed bunny, grass, and the customized lining is removable so you can use it again and again. Plus the baskets are hand-woven and of a neutral color so they can get enjoyment from them even after Easter is over.

Easter Basket with Plush

We chose 3 of the green polka dot baskets. I got one for each of my sons, and one for my nephew also.
The  plush bunny is very soft, and the basket very durable. The basket is hand-woven and of average size, and because the handle is movable you can fit larger items in with ease. The basket is by no means small, but nor is it large. It's of about medium size, and perfect for kids in my personal opinion. The customized cotton liner is removable and ties onto the sides of the basket to keep in place. The name stitching is very well done, but it looks like black stitching in the photo when in reality it is purple. It still looks very nice and didn't stand out of place so it wasn't a huge disappointment. It added more color to it certainly which befits Easter well. There were no loose threads on the lettering, nothing crooked, etc. These baskets are very pleasing to the eye, and enjoyable to children. Delivery was fast and came within a week of my order. The whole order was packaged with care.

The baskets came in a box filled with peanuts, and were individually wrapped in plastic.

And the price is a very good price considering you are getting a customized removable liner, plush bunny, basket, and grass.
One downfall was there wasn't very much grass to fit in the basket, but because we have small children we don't use the grass anyway. Still I will say there was enough to pad down the bottom of the basket so if you are one who likes to use grass it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
I am definitely a permanent customer of Personal Creations, as I am so very pleased with these Easter Baskets. They have so many other items to offer on their website from gifts, to items for the home, and so forth. Items are inexpensive considering you are getting customized items, and these Easter baskets are sure to make your kids feel extra special on Easter Day as they find these treasures waiting on them bearing their names.

As you all know, I have a major chocolate addiction. I have always had this uncanny addiction for chocolate for as long as I can remember so when I received the chance to try out Shari's Berries I simply could not wait. As soon as I visited their website it was enough to basically have me salivating. I could get lost on that website just looking at all the yummy sweets right at my fingertips.

They have so many delicious treats that you can treat yourself or loved ones too. I didn't have anything added to it, but you can add words, flowers, etc if you are needing it for a special occasion.

I must say this cake blew me away and went above and beyond what my expectations were! This is no ordinary chocolate cake! You can definitely taste the quality ingredients that are used, and every morsel of it was completely delicious!

I chose the 6" three layer chocolate cake, but you can also choose a bigger size if you so wish. The 6" serves 8-10 people, and let me tell you, DO NOT be fooled by it's size! Although this cake appears small, each slice packs a wallop of chocolate sugary goodness that will have you savoring every last bite. This cake is really thick so the slices do not need to be cut large to get a proper serving. It is incredibly filling and the perfect dessert to curb those chocolate cravings so many of us have. I would say for all you chocolate lovers, this cake is the perfect accessory to any special occasion, or even for a just because. It is also certified Kosher Dairy by Orthodox Union.

This cake was delivered in a box (packed in another box), surrounded by non-toxic ice packs that you can keep and re-use as many times as you wish! It was packed with foam peanuts and other foam cushioning so there's no way this cake can move around. You can certainly see that special care is taken to pack and ship Shari's Berries items. This cake arrived looking as perfectly as the picture you see above.

This cake is best served chilled, due to it's icing it can melt quickly, but as long as it's covered it doesn't dry out in the fridge. I would eat in within a few days just in case, but to be honest this cake didn't even make it past dessert. My family was over the moon about it and since it was delivered right in time for a small family luncheon we were hosting it served easily all 7 of us.

The chocolate was so thick and creamy, and the cake just melts in your mouth. Every single bite was packed full of the perfect amount of cake and icing, and the quality was just out of this world amazing.

I will definitely be a permanent customer and I can't wait to gift my loved ones with some of the items on Shari's Berries. There is something for everyone, and for every occasion. The Nutcracker Music Game Review & Giveaway

Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker The Music Game is such a fun learning tool for children. It helps kids recognize different musical instruments and piece what instruments are played during songs. It's a game filled with puzzles, riddles, trivia, and so much more.
Like all children, my 5 year old son loves music. When I had the opportunity to review this product I jumped at the chance and couldn't wait to show it to him. When we received it for download he immediately fell in love with it. It was hard to pry him away actually!
You start out in a room filled with choices, you can play a variety of games (such as the orchestra game), trivia, riddles, puzzles, etc. My son loved the puzzles especially and I couldn't believe my eyes when he started recognizing the instruments that were playing!
The object is to earn nine golden keys while having fun and learning. It teaches the difference between sounds, instruments, and helps increase their memory. All the while having fun, and they won't even realize how much they are learning during the whole process!
My son was so proud of himself, and it honestly has given him a whole new appreciation for classical music.

Not only does it teach our children to love and appreciate music as well as the instruments, but it is so fun and engaging! It also challenges children without them even realizing it! Look at the colorful pictures in the video above, it's so fun and vivid! I think this is a great tool to have around the house for your children to sharpen their music skills, and could also be useful in a classroom setting. It could be a great help to any of you out there who are going the homeschooling route as it can sometimes be hard to implement music in a home school setting. This game can really help fill that void.
Children learn best through interactive fun activities and this game has all of that. The appreciation and knowledge they come away with is just amazing. It can be played by your child alone, or with a parent as you both challenge yourselves in the music department. There is much to be enjoyed from this game, and I highly recommend it for any music lovers out there.
In today's world its more important than ever to teach our children about the classics, and to appreciate the instruments that make up the sound of music. This is a game that can easily be navigated by children, and even includes a helpful little claxon that appears time and again to tell your children what to do. Some of the features in the game you will need to help younger children with who cannot yet read, but there are other features they can enjoy where the talking claxon tells them step by step what they need to do.
It's a game kids can play over and over again while still being challenged. We can't get enough of it at our house, and play it several times a week. The Nutcracker is a classic, and I'm glad it is now put into a form that our children can enjoy and learn from all at once.

This game has also won many awards which makes it even better in my book. It has won the Parent's Choice Gold Award, NAPPA Gold Award, Parenting Seal of Approval and others. The one downfall is it isn't JUST yet available for MAC, but all good things take time of course. It's definitely a unique game, and I can't rave about it enough!

A sippy that actually works!

This is going to be a personal post of mine. I didn't receive any free products, was not compensated in any way, nothing like that. But this post is of my own doing. All opinions expressed are my own as is this post.

First let me start by saying that I have been super frustrated lately by sippy cups in general. Lucas is 5 and Levi is 1 1/2 years. During the whole 5 years of me having kiddos I have NEVER found a sippy that doesn't leak. And we still try time and again. I have tried almost all the major brands and they work great at first and then low and behold I am greeted with puddles on the floor in various parts of my house. My husband was so frustrated with it that he just kind of gave up. We were both tired of wasting our money on sippy cups that promised to be spill/leak free only to find our kids beds soaked, their clothes, or puddles on the floor. Hubby even likes to joke that we would be better off just giving them a cup with no lid as good as most of the sippy's we buy work. Wouldn't be much of a difference I must admit.

Then Levi lost his sippy cup. We had an especially hectic trip out of town to the children's museum and somewhere it got lost. So we stopped at Walmart to pick him one up. I was stopping at a relatives house on the way home so I had the chance to wash it, but didn't want to wait until we got all the way home before he had a drink.
I didn't want to spend another eight dollars or more on a pack of sippy's that was going to start leaking in a few days time and I noticed the Gerber's Graduates Fun Grips. There were 2 in a pack for only five dollars and some change.

These were about the only sippy's we hadn't tried yet so I figured since they were definitely affordable we would go ahead and give them a try. Why not?
I was SO pleased! So far we have had then for a little over two weeks and they work wonderfully! My son has even thrown them and there's been no leaks so far! Instead of a rubber valve there is a plastic one which doesn't wear out after washes. Plus the hourglass shape makes it really easy for little hands to hold. It's easy to wash as well, and very easy to drink out of. They come in various colors and are for 12 months plus.
Plus the lid seals tightly and the hard spout is so perfect for teething, chewing babies. They can't just squeeze the spout and cause liquid to flow out. They are made in the USA and they are BPA free. The brighter colors make them fun, and if they get lost they are easy to find.
I was blown away by the excellence at such an affordable cost, and the reason I am sharing this with you all is because sippy cups are a parents worst nightmare. I'm sure all of you have suffered from random puddles on the floor, a soaked shirt/onesie, finding wet in your baby/toddlers bed from a leaking sippy, etc. And so far so good for these! I have always loved Gerber baby food and the onesies, but I never thought about trying the sippy cups. I guess to be honest I figured the more expensive ones that promised no leaks would be better since they were so high. But money has nothing to do with it. These sippy's have blown the others out of the water! Just goes to show that such a trusted brand needs to be looked at further and I wish I had tried these sippy cups beforehand. I probably would have saved a LOT more money and a lot more time scrubbing floors and carpets. LOL.

I would highly recommend them, and I plan on coming back after a few months of use to update on how they are still holding up. After all every child has to have a sippy cup and it's up to us parents to stick together. I'm always trying to scour websites, blogs, reviews, etc to find out others response on products because I'm simply tired of throwing my money down the drain.

The only advice I have on these is just make sure you push the plastic valve in all the way. It will stay put once it's in there, but you do need to push it in tightly. Otherwise you will be led to believe these leak when really it's just the valve isn't in there tight enough. That happened to me and I was getting frustrated because I thought it was the sippy, but really it was just that I didn't have the valve pushed in all the way. Ooops! Once you push the valve in tightly it WILL stay, my son even threw his sippy from his booster on the floor and the valve didn't budge at all. When you want to take the valve back out to clean it just twist it and pull. It's really easy to do, and I'm just pleased all around. I highly recommend these sippy cups, but if you want to see how it's still holding up for us in a few months time I will be doing another post to update. :)

If you're anything like me, you're always tired. I mean it, let's be totally honest here...when we lead such busy hectic lives we are ALWAYS tired, exhausted, or feel like we are running on fumes by mid-day. Glade Expressions Collection ~ Review

We have a very active household. We're usually on the go, the boys love to play outside, and my husband works in a factory getting often covered in hydrolic oil, grime, etc.

Things can sometimes get a bit smelly no matter how often I clean the home. But one of the rooms that gets the worst is the bathroom. We have only one bathroom for all 4 of us. Yikes! You don't even want to imagine.

I've done the whole potpourri on the back of the toilet, gel air fresheners on the back (which always seem to evaporate or lose their scent not even a week later, candles, etc. But none of it is cutting it. We have only 2 plug-ins in our restroom so doing the whole plug-in air fresheners is not really an option either. I need those for hair dryer, straightener purposes, etc. So imagine how excited I was to hear through being a BzzAgent that there was an oil diffuser that not only doesn't plug in the wall, but takes NO BATTERIES! I kid you not on this one! I jumped at the chance to participate in this campaign.

If that isn't exciting enough they have a whole new line of air freshener fragrances out that are refillable! And they smell heavenly! I have to stop myself from spraying too much around the house because it smells that good! It just comforts me, makes me feel relaxed, and it lasts all day long! Plus it's such a fine mist that it doesn't make that annoying loud sound most air fresheners make when you spray them. It's a really quiet sound and gentle mist. No more spraying air freshener every few hours to have that lasting favorite scent! I can attest to the fact that I can spray this around my whole house once a day and it truly lasts. I can even still smell hints of it by the next day! And this is my new favorite scent when it comes to air freshener sprays:

Cotton & Italian Mandarin

It is a wonderful blend of cotton, honeydew, and sandalwood with hints of sparkling citrus. I have never smelled anything so wonderful! What I like about this besides the glorious smell is the bottle shape and design. It's really modern and fits in with almost any home decor! Plus since the design is plastic there are no more rust rings wherever you sit the bottle in case it gets wet. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about if you've sat an air freshener bottle anywhere near a sink or such. If you don't like the label you can always peel it off for a sleeker private design to just show the white bottle, and the best thing is that since it is refillable you can choose any of the wonderful Glade Expression refillable to place back in your bottle.

I LOVE this product! I highly recommend it, and to be honest I am so glad to be done with those annoying plug ins and cheap looking bottles of air fresheners. These are also affordable, but because of their sleek design they look classy! And oh the glorious smells! I can't wait to eventually try all the scents, but one step at a time. haha.
I got to try the Glade Oil Diffuser and the Glad Refillable Air Freshener for free as a BzzAgent, but I did go back and purchase my second Glade Oil Diffuser at full price which at walmart was only $5.98. Best money I've ever spent and long lasting.

An UNREAL Candy Review

I had a really awesome opportunity as a BzzAgent to try UNREAL candy.
Now before I get started there was a little mix up since we recently moved so I didn't get my entire UNREAL package, but I did go out to my local store and buy an UNREAL candy bar. I didn't want to miss out on this campaign or trying the candy to see if it was good. I like getting the word out there to my readers on great products so I just had to find out for myself. I ended up buying the Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat bar (Purple)

All the others were sold out at my local Kroger. I was astounded so I could hardly wait to get home and tear it open. I see NO Artificials, NO Corn Syrup, NO Hydrogenated Oils, and then they are all sold out? I knew I had to try it.
I was pleasantly surprised. The purple bar I mentioned above is very much similar to Snickers (which just happens to be my favorite candy bar).
There wasn't much of a difference in the taste, the candy bar held well together and despite it having all natural ingredients minus all the stuff that's bad for you it still tasted good. I really couldn't tell the missing "bad" ingredients. I felt the candy bar could be a bit thicker, but it was still really good and definitely affordable. I paid under a dollar for the candy bar.
I'm eager to try the other unjunked candies to see what they are like. Here's some of the ones they have:

Bic Soleil Savvy Razor Review & Coupon Giveaway

I got the opportunity as a BzzAgent to try out the Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Razor. I usually use regular disposable razors that you use once and discard, but to be honest I've been in the market for something a bit more...delicate. My skin is sensitive and I can't stand having a bunch of nicks and cuts on smooth shaved legs. Not to mention some razors I have used make me feel like instead of shaving a few minutes ago I shaved a couple days ago! I just don't get the close enough shave that I desire. So when I got the Bic Soleil Savvy Razor in the mail I couldn't wait to give it a go. The handheld razor fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, and it came with 4 disposable razor heads. It has lubricating strips with vitamin E which makes your skin feel extra smooth and moisturizes. You basically just click on the razor head and go. It's so easy, and once the razor head is on you don't need to worry about it popping off unless you push the button. That easy! Plus the refillable's actually last! They don't quickly rust like other razors I have used in the past.
The head also pivots up and down which is a really nice feature for legs especially. I love how it hydrated my skin, and it gave me such a close shave I had the need to shave much less so than often. That is a huge perk because as a mom of two young boys I'm ashamed to admit I sometimes have to just rush through shaving. Schedules, appointments, etc isn't going to wait.
The Bic Soleil Savvy razors are also sold at the many major retailers like Meijer, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. So finding one to buy is more than easy which is just another huge perk. As busy as we are in the world today convenience is priority sometimes.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the total package. I also got some coupons for the refillable razor heads so if any of you out there want some they are first come first serve. Bic also provided me with some fascinating shaving tips which I never knew before so I'm going to share them with you all (pics are my own inserts just for fun)

• Shave at night-  Shaving removes dead skin cells and the superficial layer of your skin. While this process is actually healthy for your skin, it also reduces your skin's defenses for a couple of hours. If you do shave in the morning, you are more likely to expose weakened skin to external elements and your shaved skin will feel less comfortable. Shaving at night will give your skin the entire night to recover its strength and suppleness to resist irritation.

• Shave clean skin-  Try not to shave any part of your body without having your skin perfectly clean. This will help prevent infection or bumps. Apply hot water or shave after showering. Warm humidity increases skin elasticity and softens your hair. Hot water actually diminishes hair toughness, which can increase blade longevity and wet hair is easier to shave.

• Apply shaving cream or gel-  Once your hair is softened, the razor will glide more easily over your skin, avoiding damage. Shaving cream / gel with Aloe Vera is preferred to normal soap as it will be gentler on your skin and lift your hair. Lather the cream / gel with back and forth motions over the area you are going to shave. Leave the cream / gel on your skin two minutes before shaving.

• Use a sharp blade-  Keep in mind that the duller the blade, the more irritated your skin will become. Change your blades regularly, especially if you have sensitive skin. On sensitive areas, such as bikini and underarms, shaving with a dull blade can result in red spots.

• Soothe and hydrate your skin-  After shaving, the skin is both dry and irritated. Apply an alcohol-free after-shave to re-moisturize your skin and avoid the feeling of razor burn.

5-hour ENERGY Review

I'm not usually a big fan of energy drinks. Mainly because I have heard they aren't safe, there's a horrible crash once they wear off, and they don't last very long. I got an invite to try out 5 hour energy so decided to look into it. 5-hour energy has been around for a long time after all. I was actually pleased about what I found out! Take a look::

• Contains key ingredients that are available in everyday food

• Contains about as much caffeine as a cup of the leading brand premium coffee
• Manufactured and bottled in the USA
• Complies with the provisions of the Dietary Supplement Heath and Education Act as regulated by the FDA

It has been crazy around our house lately. We are getting ready to move so I have been trying to juggle packing, cleaning, daily household chores in addition to chasing after my two young ones. No matter what is going on the world still turns and the normal things still have to be done. Doesn't even matter if your extremely exhausted and just want to sleep.
The other day I was having one of those days. I couldn't even sit on the couch for five minutes without starting to doze off, and when I was making my bed it was calling me in a tempting way. Then I hear my boys playing in their room and realize I can't just go back to sleep there's kids to care for and a house to clean/pack. Then I remembered earlier in the week I received a package of 5 hour energy and now would be the perfect time to give it a try.
I didn't drink it all at once, but drank about half of the berry. It had a wild berry taste that was sweet, and went down smoothly like any other regular drink. I slowly started feeling alert without feeling jittery and it was really a pleasant surprise. There was no irregular heartbeat or anything else.
I was able to zip through my chores, get some packing done, play with the boys, etc without feeling like I was going to fall over at any minute. When it started to wear off there was no crash at all. It gradually started wearing off just like any other regular day, and didn't leave me feeling extremely tired.

I love the fact that you can take it throughout the day, it doesn't make you jittery, and there is no crash and burn. I was surprised at all the good points of 5 hour energy and while I won't drink it every day it could be the perfect thing I need to give me a jolt on those especially hectic and crazy days.

The pomegranate wasn't as sweet as the berry, but still tasted okay. The taste is a bit bland on the berry and pomegranate, but not too unpleasant. I love that the bottles are little enough to fit in your purse, and they provide you with the energy you need. I didn't experience any headache or dizziness after drinking 5 hour energy shots which was a huge plus because it was something I have always been concerned about when we're talking about energy drinks/shots. I felt energized in minutes without feeling at all shaky, and I felt just like I had a full nights sleep and was fully energized. I personally did not experience any abnormal side efects or feelings after drinking these. Not to even mention there are only 4 calories and it's sugar free!
In the future when I'm having one of those drag on/exhausting days I will definitely give 5-hour ENERGY another try.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Review

My hair is insane. That's putting it mildly...I am constantly throwing my hair up in a ponytail just because I get tired of having to control the frizz. As a mom of 2 small boys I just DO NOT have the time to primp my hair like I need to in order to gain back control.
I have found products that work but they are expensive (not to mention most are salon brand), and we have to be frugal. These times are hard, and the economy is still not at it's finest. Finances tend to get a bit strapped (mostly all the time) so spending ten dollars on one bottle of shampoo and another ten on a bottle of conditioner is just not ideal for me.
I was really excited when I was given the option to try out Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo & conditioner through BzzAgent. I have tried out the Garnier Fructis products before but never the Sleek and Shine line.



Before I go any further let me give you some of the info about the products to give you an idea::

::My Thoughts::
The shampoo lathers really well and leaves behind a fresh fruity scent. I was a little worried that it would make my hair feel greasy after use since the shampoo has the texture of a serum, but it actually smoothed my hair better than any shampoo I have used thus far. When used with the Sleek & Shine Conditioner my hair turned out soft, manageable, and smelling great. I noticed a huge difference in manageability within the first wash, and have had 95% less trouble with frizz. The shampoo has a stronger scent than the conditioner, but they are both easy to rinse out. When using the shampoo and conditioner it made a huge difference with my thick hair and I noticed it was much easier to brush. Not to even mention the fact that my hair was actually shiny for once when usually it's like a frizzy lion's mane. Both products work best when used together, and when you rub from the roots of your hair to the tips. That method certainly gave me the best results.
I do find that the shampoo goes very fast compared to the conditioner, but then this is something I usually always have a problem with due to the thickness of my hair. I always have to use more shampoo to cleanse than conditioner to condition. The conditioner seems to stretch out longer for some odd reason.


I will admit after reading about the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine system I did give the Anti-Frizz Serum a try on my own which I did purchase, and which reinforced the NO frizz factor. I loved that fact, and after just one use my hair still did not take on that greasy feel you sometimes get when applying hair care products one after the other. Now I did notice a greasy feel by the next day, but as long as you wash your hair every day or every other day you shouldn't run into this problem (depending on the thickness, texture, and length of your hair of course).


All in all I would say my experience with the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine System was a positive one. I got the salon effect without having the pay the salon price. I was impressed that the shampoo and conditioner actually did what it promised to do, and I would recommend it to all my readers who have frizzy, dry, unmanageable hair. Plus it's easy to find and is sold is mass retailers, grocery stores, drug stores, etc. Just take a gander around your hair care isle and your sure to find it there. The shampoo and conditioner is definitely one of my personal favorites, and I don't see myself using anything else to tame this mane in the near future. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? :)

My First Crayola Review/Giveaway

I love Crayola products. It's, in my opinion, the most trusted brand among moms and schools everywhere. Not to say that there aren't other great products out there, but Crayola® is our family's favorite.

So of course I was excited when I received the opportunity to try out the My First Crayola™ product line.

I have 2 sons ages 14 months, and 4 years old. Creative time is a very important staple in our house. I believe in encouraging children to create, and let their imaginations soar. I love to praise them for all that they do, and their little faces just light up with joy. But encouraging our children to be creative is not only important for the creative aspect or for esteem building, but it also helps them develop large and fine motor skills!



Did you know? Your child's first art experiences help develop very important large and fine motor skills like hand-eye coordination, self-confidence, and early literacy skills.


I love my children's creations. I am one of those moms that saves every little drawing whether it is actually something or is a scribble. To me they are all wonderful. I have frames filled with them, binders full of them, and my fridge is overflowing with pictures.
Here's some tips from Cheri Sterman (Crayola's child development expert) on how to encourage a child's development and sense of discovery:

• Build their vocabulary. Not sure what to say about the page of dots or dashes your child created?  Describe the colors and shapes you see to help your child add new words to their vocabulary.
• Tell me about your picture? Children’s drawings are their first communication well before they can read and write. Ask your child to tell you about the drawing they create. That blue blob you’re looking at may be a puppy, an elephant or a tiger.  It’s OK for the same blue blob to mean something different tomorrow. Resist the urge to tell your child what you see and listen to their interpretation.
• Focus on the process.  Pudding paintings and rhythmically dotting colors on paper are part of the important journey to eventually creating more recognizable drawings. Emphasize the enjoyment of the process more than the end result.  The actual work is not as important as the joy your child felt when creating it.
• Creative confidence. As your child grows into the toddler years, and their scribbles take shape creative confidence begins to bloom.  One of the best responses to your child’s artwork is, “Let’s hang it on the refrigerator together.”

Here's a look at some of the products I got to try and my thoughts on them:

::My First Crayola Washable Crayons, Markers, and Stampers (for ages 12 mos +)::

For me, these were probably the easiest markers and stamps I've ever had the pleasure to wash off our skin. My sons got marks on their skin and I simply had to use a baby wipe to get the marker and stamps off. No harsh scrubbing necessary. The design of the crayons, markers, and stampers fit easily into my kids small hands and they come in different animals and colors which makes it that much more fun. The base simply removes from the crayons and markers and goes back on with ease. This makes it easier for really small hands who have a tendency to break crayons easily. And on the stampers there was no base to remove at all. They are all in one, and they just simply flip down as you press down.


::My First Crayola Mess-Free Marker & Paper (12 mos +)::
The animal for this was the Panda bear and it was wonderful for my 14 month old. He LOVES to scribble around and can get a bit wacky in his excitement. Since this marker ONLY works on the Crayola mess-free paper I didn't have to worry about marker colors showing up everywhere. And it made colorful designs on the paper almost like a rainbow which he quite enjoyed.



::My First Crayola Mess-Free Fingerpaint & Paper (24 mos +)::
Just like the mess-free marker and paper the fingerpaint was the same. There's no mess since it only works on Crayola's magic mess-free paper and it reveals a combination of colorful design patterns which makes it fun and amusing for your young one. I used this mostly with Lucas (4 yrs) since Levi (14 mos) kept trying to eat the paint, but all in all we did do some fingerpainting with it.



::My First Crayola Washable Dry-Erase Activity Mat (24 mos +)::
This was by far our favorite and was so easy for on-the-go trips such as errand days. It comes with 12 activites and coloring pages that just slide into place and you can print more coloring pages and activies online to insert. Your child simply uses the dry-erase crayons to color, create, erase, and start all over again. It even has a little pouch on the back that holds the dry-erase crayons, and folds easily. It comes equipped with a little handle which makes it easy to carry while on-the-go. The dry-erase crayons are in a triangular shape which I noticed seems easier for little hands to grip.
