Wildflower DVD Review & Giveaway

Have you ever felt like God has let you down? Have you ever hit rock bottom in life and just don't know how you can possibly rise up again? We have all gotten there in my opinion. We may even get there again. We are human. We get scared, we feel alone, we get confused, and our emotions take us away. I watched a movie that brings all that home. WILDFLOWER shows us that we are never as alone as we feel, and we will rise above!

WILDFLOWER is definitely a MUST SEE. I can't even stress that enough!

I am recommending this movie right and left. If you love psychological thrillers you will LOVE this movie. Here's a quick Film Synopsis, and trailer to the movie:::

Creatively gifted, college student Chloe Moray (portrayed by Nathalia Ramos, known for BRATZ, Arrested Development, House of Anubis) finds solace from a difficult childhood in her extraordinary art. But when an alarming dream begins to recur nightly, Chloe starts to believe that it might be a suppressed memory and that she may have witnessed a terrible crime as a little girl. Her search for peace takes her on a journey that forces Chloe to confront her past traumas and leads her to cross paths with Josh (Cody Longo, known for NOT TODAY, Hollywood Heights, Nashville), a young man dealing with his own painful loss. Together they find in each other someone they can trust as they seek to unlock a cold-case mystery from years before. But with the authorities blocking the way, Chloe's new-found hope is challenged in this powerful story of faith, triumph and healing.

I personally am a big movie buff. I love all movies. In our house we even have a weekly family movie night. We watch movies with the kids and then when they are in bed me and hubby watch our own movies. That said, from my standards, this is by far one of the best movies I have seen in quite some time! Now me and my husband watched this alone, as our children are young. This movie did further show that as parents we all need to be very present, active, and invested in our children's lives. We need to talk with them daily, and stay connected. I cannot stress that enough. It is extremely important.

I was definitely on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. My heart raced, my brain raced, I was captured! Wildflower caught my attention immediately and the movie held my attention until the very end. There is so much suspense, drama, plot twists, friendship, family, and faith. I never could guess what would happen next, and I was shocked through it all. This is a positively riveting movie experience that will set you off on a roller-coaster of emotions. The scenes were great, the actors and actresses did a fantastic job! This movie wins every award possible in my book.

It is a clean movie which is just amazing. Especially for Christian families out there. It is so hard to find a GOOD clean movie to watch that includes faith. There is pure genius behind this film, and there is no other way to put it. The way such a situation can be kept clean, and remain as riveting as this deserves a standing ovation. This is a great movie for teens and adults. I wouldn't go younger than teen years because it is a pretty intense movie. It is rated PG-13.

I love that this movie doesn't just provide entertainment. It provides hope! No matter our darkest hour God is with us, and we are not alone. We cannot lose our faith, and we cannot lose our hope. But if we do along one of life's hard roads He will be there with open arms to welcome us back. It never rains forever.

I can see this movie providing so many out there with hope, faith, and courage. It isn't easy to touch down on trauma subjects like this movie does, but WILDFLOWER does an excellent job. This movie far surpassed my expectations.

::My Thoughts::
I must say I have mixed feelings about this book. While I liked it I also found it to be heartbreaking. There is so much tragedy mixed in here. It is an excellent work of historical facts mixed with fiction that brings those days more to life than we could have imagined. At the same time this is not a read for the faint of heart. There is a lot of tragedy, murder, rape, misfortune, etc. There is also strength, characters overcome obstacles with a will power you wouldn't believe, and there will be times when you find yourself on the edge of your seat. Of course during the time frame this book is set in that shouldn't be a surprise as slavery was big back then and unfairness to African Americans and Gypsies was no secret sadly. It's much different reading about it with a story that makes it come more to life than you could imagine.
I found myself frustrated by a lot of the characters, however. Especially Milagros, a young gypsy girl who despite what her family warns her against decides to take matters of her love life into her own hand. This of course leads to misfortune on her part as you soon find out. I won't go into details as I don't want to spoil anything, but if you give this book a try you will see what I mean. I felt a lack of emotion on the characters parts. I was frustrated that most of them just seemed to take their lot and accept it regardless and there was little felt by them. It was hard for me to continue reading this book. At times I was drawn in by characters or circumstances, and at other times I was disgusted and couldn't read on. I felt there was little passion from the characters when there needed to be during certain scenes which made it harder to visualize. But I do recommend giving this book a try if your interested in history. There are some interesting facts in this book mixed up in the fiction, and it's definitely worth a try. I did not completely dislike the book, I just seen a lot of places for improvement. The last section of the book is where it really got good so I'm glad I stuck with it. I am glad I read it even if it was harder for me to get in to.

Robin feels like she will betray her late husband just by feeling such memories and does her best to fight against them. But as time goes on will she be able to keep her feelings at bay?

::My Thoughts::

I really loved this book. I felt so badly for Robin at first. She is such an incredibly strong character in the book who manages a cafe, motherhood, and a charity alone. As the book went on I was frustrated with Robin a bit because she was so stubborn, and became very rude at times. However with the hand that was dealt to her it was a bit easier to understand.

Ian I did not like at first. He didn't care what he had to do to acquire the businesses he needed to put the condominiums. He seemed very greedy and self centered. However as the novel carried along he was the most caring and considerate character in the whole novel. It was very hard not to like him. Especially after more was revealed about him. He never quit trying with Robin and started approaching things in a more than fair way. He was by far my favorite character because of his caring and even chivalry. He came to the rescue for Robin on more than one occasion.

This book was a fantastic read. There was drama, intrigue, sadness, happiness, romance, and the book flowed nicely. I didn't get lost at all even though the book does give perspectives from different characters. Amanda is certainly a colorful character in the novel even though she is a minor character. As Robins sister in law she tries very hard to see to Robin's happiness even if she is going through a tough time herself. She gives a bit of tough love in a way which is hard not to admire.

I definitely recommend this book to all who love romance. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat anticipating what will happen next, and certainly keeps you on your toes at all times. God's presence is throughout this book and really makes you think about blessings, even disguised ones.

It is the I Love You 120 Languages Pendant Onyx necklace from the Tokens of Love collection.It says "I Love You" in 120 different languages! The words are imprinted in 24kt gold on an onyx stone. The onyx stone is set in a sterling silver setting which makes a really unique and one of a kind necklace.
It isn't bulky or overwhelming, nor does it look or feel cheap. You can definitely tell it is quality jewelry.
I wasn't too impressed with the chain it came on, but a chain is a simple fix. And if your ordering it for yourself or a loved one there's a really nice chain upgrade feature that you may consider. The necklace even comes with a little magnifying glass on a key chain so you can see clearly all the languages on the necklace. It's pretty impressive to say the least.

I got many oohs and ahhs over the necklace when I wore it out and about, it compliments any outfit whether your dressing up, or just dressing to run errands. People seemed to be most impressed about all the writing on the necklace, and when I pulled out my key chain to show them all the words they were most impressed.
It was delicately packaged, and I received it in pristine shape. Even the key chain had it's own separate box and was carefully packaged. On the jewelry box there are even simple care instructions which makes it so simple to care for your jewelry as time goes on. Caring for our jewelry makes it last for years so for me the simple care instructions were a welcome. All jewelry requires different types of care.
