If you have a child that likes dinosaurs and has a wild imagination then you definitely don’t want to miss out on this book. The story flows easily, and there are wonderful illustrations throughout which keeps children intrigued.
I love how the author threw in little details which will have your child asking even more questions about space and science rather than purely about the dinosaurs. It speaks of the Hubble telescope, planets, constellations, etc. And all the while these little details popped up the author never lost sight of the most interesting characters, the dinosaurs.
What I really loved about this book is that it really plays on your child’s imagination and creates a whole new scene for them to imagine. This is really fun for parents and children alike. It's really a book for parents and children, as well as boys and girls. I as a parent fell in love with this book myself.
If I had to give this book an age group I would say that ages 5-9 could get the most enjoyment out of it, although my son is 4 and he really loved it. It really depends on your child and his/her preferences. My son loves dinosaurs and loved the thought that they could be in outer space. Ever since we’ve read the book he likes to look outside at night and see if he can see them up there. He asked me all about the Hubble telescope (that Stumpy Stegosaurus used as a baseball bat), and all about the little dipper which the plesiosaurus siblings took a leisurely drink out of, etc. Those are just a couple of sneak peaks at how much of a fun read this book is. It is definitely one of the more fun imaginative children’s books I have had the pleasure of reading with my son.
